Dear Dad .. It's Christmas and I'm missing you. I miss your voice on the other end of the phone inquiring how we all are and what's new .. and always your words of encouragement. I carry your spirit and quiet sense of caring within my heart daily .. I aspire to be more like you. We are keeping our arms extended to Mom as we all know you would expect of us but she's having a hard time Dad. Know that you can see us all from your vantage point .. and I am confident that you are able to intercede with God now .. ask him to give her a peacefulness in her heart this Christmas. I know you're not in pain anymore Dad and I'm so thankful .. that was so hard to endure for you and us too. I keep the vision in my head of your quiet confident smile .. it gives me comfort.
